Where it all begins

When you enter our Naperville or Algonquin office, you’ll be greeted warmly by our team. After a brief tour of our office, we’ll take a set of diagnostic records. This will typically include x-rays, study models, and photos of your face and teeth. Once we’ve completed these records, you’ll receive a comprehensive examination by Dr. Frey. The information we collect from this exam and your orthodontic records will be used to determine the ins and outs of your specific case, and to develop a custom treatment plan that is suited to your needs.

We take a great deal of pride in helping our patients understand what they can expect throughout orthodontic treatment, and will make every effort to answer all of your questions and address any particular concerns at this initial visit. Some or all of the following topics may be discussed with our team during your appointment.

• Any oral issues you have that orthodontics can address
• If treatment is needed now, or if it would be better to wait until the appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred
• What treatment options we have available to correct the problem, including clear braces, traditional metal braces, Pitts 21 Self-Ligating System, Invisilign, Invisilign Teen, Custom clear Aligners & Suresmile
• Whether or not any permanent teeth will need to be removed first
• How long treatment is estimated to take
• How much of an investment the treatment process will be
• The payment options we have available or a review of your insurance benefits

We analyze each patient’s specific needs in order to produce the best results possible, so once you have decided to move forward with treatment from Dr. Frey, we’ll create a customized treatment plan specifically for your case.

Investing in your smile

Your treatment consultation will be followed up with a financial consultation where we’ll discuss our various professional fees, describe our financing options, and electronically verify any insurance benefits you plan to use. Because every patient comes with their own unique needs, the costs of treatment will vary on a case-by-case basis. Don’t worry, though – we’ll lay all of this information out in detail before you ever begin treatment!

Frey Orthodontics believes that financial concerns should never stand in the way of the orthodontic care you need and deserve. We will work with you to design a payment program that will fit your personal financial needs, and we are dedicated to providing patients with exceptional treatment that fits every budget. In order to make your orthodontic treatment affordable, we offer:

• a free initial consultation to address your needs and concerns
• a breakdown of fees that include all appliances, treatment visits, one set of retainers, and a year of follow-up retainer checks
• a discount for payment made in full at the beginning of treatment (some restrictions may apply)
• in-house, interest-free financing (requires automatic ACH drafting via a checking or savings account)
• a convenient, low down payment option with extended monthly payments

For your convenience, we also offer automatic monthly payments from your credit card, checking, or savings account, and accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Many dental insurance policies will cover a portion of orthodontic treatment, and we work with most major insurance providers, such as Aetna, Cigna, Delta Dental, MetLife, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We will deduct the full insurance amount from your balance, up-front, after an initial down payment. Once treatment begins, we’ll be happy to submit and file your insurance claims for you in order to ensure your benefits are maximized. To make the process go faster, provide your insurance information for our office prior to your initial exam, or be sure to bring your insurance card with you when you visit our office for the first time.
